Let's take a look at what these people have to say!

Every couple fights and argues. It is nothing uncommon. In fact, fighting is even considered to be a healthy habit between couples. But what if fights exceed an entire day and the couple ends up going to bed angry? Some may say that a night’s sleep will help them to see clearly while others may argue that going to bed angry is not a healthy thing at all, as it indicates lack of communication. To understand a larger aspect of this, we have 5 people who share with us their views on whether a couple should go to bed angry or not.

Dynamics of a relationship

“I would definitely like to take some time if my partner and I have gotten into a big fight. I want to be left alone because I need time to cool down. But sometimes my partner doesn’t understand that and eventually, the fight escalates.”
Nandini, 32

It brings a couple closer

“Some couples go to bed angry and I believe it is needed at times. If you are apart for some time, the heart grows fonder. The more you don’t speak to your partner, the more they will want to. So yes, going to bed angry sometimes can be a good lesson for the one who’s fighting the most.”
Piyush, 29

Lack of communication

“A couple going to bed angry indicates the lack of communication in the relationship. If you don’t talk it out with your partner, you are letting a bigger gap come between you two. It’s better to settle the matter right away and be done with it rather than stretch it unnecessarily.”

Sarika, 43

Overflow of emotions

“If you are the kind of person who feels too much and is very sensitive, then it is better to leave the situation and go to bed angry. Talk about the issue next morning at a time when you both have settled down and are in a headspace to talk about the fight. An overly emotional person will end up crying most of the time during a heated argument.”

Ojhas, 35

6/6

Lack of efforts

“I would get really angry if my partner tries to go to bed without resolving the issue with me. No matter how angry or hurt we are, solving the issue before sleeping indicates that the person is willing to solve this once and for all. I believe dragging or stretching it to the next morning means they have the least interest in the relationship.”
Anandita, 38

This depends on what the fight is about... a trivial matter can be sorted with discussion, but if the matter is something big and partner rigid on his/her opposing position ? How can we be expected to finish it before going to bed ?
