Check out these signs

Some people close themselves off from others because they are too scared of the world criticising and judging them. Insecure people face a hard time trusting people because they suffer from low self-esteem issues. They keep doubting their abilities even if they are capable of achieving success or being in a successful relationship. These people have some noticeable behavioural patterns that indicate their high level of insecurity. Let’s take a look at some of those habits.

2/7

Seeking validation from others

Insecure people feel a constant need to validate their worth through others’ opinions. They try to seek others’ approval over their personality or work. They look for likes, comments and compliments from people and only feel happy when others acknowledge them.

3/7

Being very sensitive

They struggle a lot with criticism and they take it to their heart when someone harshly criticises their self-worth and personality. They become very emotional—they either burst into tears or lash out at someone else with anger.

4/7

Attaining perfectionism

These people are on a constant quest to come out as the perfect individual in front of everyone. They are very insecure about their flaws and drawbacks so they try to do everything perfectly. Sometimes they become obsessed with the idea of achieving perfectionism which can be pretty toxic and unhealthy.

5/7

Comparing themselves to others

They compare themselves to others a lot and focus on what others are doing right. They feel like they have let themselves down when they compare their abilities to others. They look at others’ achievements over their own and drown in shame and embarrassment over not being good enough.

6/7

Inability to trust others

They have a lot of trouble trusting others. They fear rejection from others and are very scared of being hurt. So they choose to stay guarded and not trust people easily. Hence, they face a lot of difficulties in forming relationships.

7/7

Overthinking

Insecure people overthink a lot. They drown themselves in different kinds of thoughts and worry about a situation too much, even before it has happened. This leads to excessive worry and anxiety.
