Look out for these flags

While all new couples seem happy in their new relationships, there are many who turn a blind eye to the gaping red flags. They find some seriously stupid acts cute not realising that this is not what you want in the long run. Here are 5 major red flags you should always be on the lookout for in new relationships.

2/6

Over controlling behaviour

This is a common red flag in relationships. When either of you is trying to control the movements, beliefs, and decisions, it may look mushy in the beginning but it is a hazardous thing for the future. If someone else decides what you want to wear to where you should go or not then it is a major red flag.

3/6

Substance abuse

If you can see that the other is drinking a lot or smoking a lot, is into substance abuse then stop right there. Substance abuse means the person struggles with impulse control and has self-destructive habits. Any relationship can quickly turn toxic if there is any kind of addiction. It is an illness and the person needs help.

4/6

Anger management issues

It is a major red flag if the one you are with has anger management issues. This can be a major problem in the long run. You can feel threatened by this person or feel very unsafe during an argument or fight. In a new relationship, if you have already experienced this or seen someone else becoming a victim of their anger then please walk out right now.

5/6

Jealousy

If you see even the slightest of jealousy and not in a good sense, it is a major red flag and you need to leave. Someone who is constantly jealous of your connection with others cares more about what they want than your happiness.

6/6

Communication issues

The inability to communicate openly is an issue and also the foundation of any relationship. If the person is unable to express himself properly and is not even trying to get better at it, it is a major red flag.
