3 ways to take revenge from people who have hurt you

Most people have faced situations where they feel someone has either mistreated or cheated them. This not only leaves them in pain, but also in a mood to seek revenge. People think that taking revenge would make them feel better. And so, here we list three ways to seek revenge from people wo have hurt you, as shared by spiritual guru Gauranga Das in a video posted on YouTube.

Let go and move on

"Let go of the pain. Don't overthink about the pain, it will only hurt you more," says Gauranga Das. While some people think that seeking revenge would make them feel better, it never truly does. And so, instead, Gauranga Das encourages people to let go of the pain and hatred, and move on in life.

3/5

Forgive and forget

The second way of dealing with being hurt is by forgiving and moving on, says Gauranga Das. "Forgive the other person. Don't let their actions leave grudges in your heart. Forgive and forget," he says.

4/5

Become your best version

And the third way to seek the best revenge from others is by becoming your best version. "Focus on yourself. Don't think about them, keep yourself in focus and improve as a person," says Gauranga Das. This will not only make you feel better, but would also cause regret or envy to those who have mistreated you.

5/5

Remember: Letting go isn’t weakness

Seeking revenge might feel satisfying in the moment, but it often leaves behind more pain than peace. When we act out of anger or hurt, we keep ourselves emotionally tied to the very person or situation that wronged us. True strength lies not in retaliation, but in choosing to rise above the impulse. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting—it means freeing yourself from the burden of bitterness. Instead of revenge, focus on growth, healing, and moving forward. Success, peace of mind, and inner strength are the most powerful forms of redemption. Letting go isn’t weakness—it’s the ultimate form of self-control.
