Expert tips on dos and don’ts of kitchen decor to attract abundance

Kitchen represents Fire, which is one of the most important elements that brings wealth and abundance to the house. And hence it’s paramount that the kitchen is positioned correctly in the house. Here are some pointers that must be kept in mind if you want to attract abundance in the house.

The right zone for the kitchen is the Southeast zone of the house. It’s equally important to pay attention to the right placement within the kitchen.

The cooking range should be placed in such a way that one faces East while cooking. If there is a window to the East, it brings the right energies into the kitchen with the morning Sun.

The other fire equipment such as the microwave and other gadgets that represent the churning activity, such as the mixer grinder can be towards the Southeast of the kitchen. This ensures a well balanced Southeast which in turn strengthens our wealth and assets.

Water Purifier is best placed in the Northeast and the sink can come between North and Northwest. The sink and hob should neither be next to each other nor exactly opposite to each other.

Heavy storage such as heavy utensils should be placed in the West or Southwest and food storage can come in the East of the kitchen.

Refrigerator is best suited in the Northwest Zone of the kitchen or even Northwest of the house.

Stay away from too much red in terms of colour as this can lead to excessive fire energy in the kitchen. Black and grey is again not an ideal colour for the kitchen as these are colours that represent elements which can subdue the fire energy. The best colours for kitchen are pastels – ivory, beige, lemon yellow, pastel green are safe colours to use.

Ensure that the Kitchen is not above or below a toilet. Food is symbolic of abundance. And toilet placement above or below the kitchen can interfere with this abundance.

Don’t display knives and scissors. Always keep them in the drawer.

While designing the kitchen, ensure that your back is not to the door while you cook.

Rice and flour should not be placed in the plastic jars. This can reduce the abundance luck for the house. Always place these in metal containers.

Anything that is chipped or broken or not in a working condition should be removed from the kitchen as this can bring bad luck to the family.

All food items that are way past their expiry must also be thrown away as they can have a tendency of bringing bad health to the family. One must thoroughly spring clean the kitchen, every few weeks, to get rid of anything that fits the above description.

Do not ever have a mirror in the kitchen. A mirror reflecting the fire can bring legal battles to the family.

And lastly, do not go to bed with a dirty kitchen and utensils still in the sink. A clean kitchen is always an invitation to Goddess Lakshmi in the house.
