There are 9 faces in this picture; only 1% can find them within 10 seconds

It is important to understand the elements of the picture

In this optical illusion, there are 10 faces hidden, or more precisely embedded within the trees. Reports claim that only 1% of those who attempt to find the hidden faces, will be able to trace them all.

The difficulty level of the illusion is based on the elements of the picture. The picture has trees, the branches and the flora and fauna of what seems like a jungle.

The branches and stems of the trees are artistically drawn to form the shapes of faces. If you look closely, the bents in the trees form the forehead, and nose of a few faces. Even the bushes beneath the trees resemble the hair of a few faces.

In order to find the faces, you need to alter the way you see the image. While at one point you have to see the image as a whole, at other points you have to focus on specific parts of the image.

As mentioned above, the branches of the trees form the skeletal structures of the face. This is the biggest clue in solving this optical illusion.

Trace the branches and follow them to see the structure they are forming. For example the biggest face on the left hand side of the image is formed by the fine branches, and leaves of two different trees. While the leaves of one tree form the sideburns of the face, the leaves of another tree form the hair. The branches form the eyes, eyebrows, lips, and nose of the face.

The two bigger ones

These two faces will appear the first to anyone who sees the image.

3/8

The sandwiched one

This long face is sandwiched between the two tree trunks.

4/8

The ones under the tree

Look around the bushes and you will find two faces.

5/8

The ones at the edges

These two faces are at the extreme sides of the image.

6/8

The inverted one

This is the lone face in the image which is inverted.

7/8

The old man

This is the trickiest one. The old man's face is different from other faces and has been cleverly placed so that people will be unable to spot it.

Important points to note

Everytime you sit down to solve an optical illusion, you should take note of few things: look at the non-obvious places in the image, alter the vision (this is the trick to solve every optical illusion; these illusions trick your mind to believe something other than what is in front of your eyes).
