7 things you should NOT share with anyone (not even your best friend)

Things you must not share

There was a recent study that conveyed that women love their best friends more than their husbands. Well, we couldn't agree more. Women talk with their best friends about almost anything on the surface of the earth. They know each other's first crushes, fights and even kisses. We lean onto our girlfriends for suggestions and advice and they magically make everything better.

2/10

Oversharing

But do you know there is something known as ‘oversharing’ as well? Yes, so the next time you feel like sharing your entire life saga with your closest friend over the phone, read this.

3/10

Every other fight that you have with your boyfriend

This one is a no-brainer. Unless and until it is something major, complaining about every little thing that is going wrong will only make your friends judge your boyfriend unnecessarily and let’s be honest, it is not fair.

4/10

Every time you are feeling low

We understand that your friends cheer you up but that does not give you the right to pick up the phone, vent out everytime you feel a little down and out. We all need to learn how to take care of ourselves after a point of time.

5/10

Every time somebody says something hurtful

You cannot go running to your friend every time someone hurts your feelings. You need to learn how to hold your own.

6/10

Family drama

Unless and until you want unsolicited judgment coming your family’s way, it is best to keep in your family troubles to yourself. No family is perfect and family problems happen with every single family, whether you are aware of it or not. There is a reason that you feel offended if someone says anything negative about your family, so try and keep it that way.

7/10

Good deeds

Kindness, when advertised, loses its purposes. While doing small acts of kindness will not take much of your time, bragging about the same every time may project you as a show-off. No matter how kind you are or how helpful you are, let your actions speak for themselves rather than boasting about it

8/10

Sex life

While it is totally okay to ask your close friends if you have any doubt or concern, the key is to strike balance and not go into the gory details. Unless and until the topic is specifically revolving around sex lives and there is a genuine concern, not blatant judgement, keep your private life private. For example, there is no need to share that one-time your partner did not make you orgasm.

9/10

Don’t talk crap about your other friends

This may seem like a pretty basic advice but no matter how angry or hurt you are, it is better to resolve your differences with the person you have fought with, rather than broadcasting it to the whole world.

10/10

Messy misunderstandings

Trust us, it can lead to very messy misunderstandings once the word gets out. Also, if you go back to being friends with the same person, you might put yourself at the risk of being labelled a pushover. Watch what you share.
