Eating Ice cream in summer is a real challenge as it melts at lightning speed. However, there is a Chinese ice cream that doesn’t melt even with a blowtorch. This ice cream is from a popular Chinese ice cream brand Zhong Xue Gao that’s also known as ‘Hermès of ice cream’ and is priced at $10. Recently, a video of this ice cream has gone viral on social media, where the ice cream did not even melt at a temperature of 31 degrees. (Images courtesy: SCMP)

Seeing the uproar, the ice cream company responded on the same social media platform Weibo with an official statement which read that all their products are in line with quality standards set by China’s national authority. Their statement read, “The main components of the baysalt coconut-flavoured ice cream are milk, single cream, coconut pulp, condensed milk and milk powder. Forty per cent of this ice cream is solid materials.” The company also wrote in their official statement that “We believe that it is not scientific to judge the quality of ice cream by baking, drying or heating ice cream.” (Image courtesy: YouTube)
