Apart from that, Garlic is a great source of minerals such as phosphorus, calcium, potassium, iron and copper. It is also a good source of Vitamin C and Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). ​Raw Garlic


Eating raw garlic on an empty stomach can help in reducing the cholesterol level. According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, aged garlic supplement can prevent the clogging of arteries and improve heart health. Raw garlic contains a component called Allicin, which helps in thinning the blood and reduces the cholesterol levels.

Thus, the best way to consume garlic is by eating raw garlic on an empty stomach as the fresh garlic contains Allicin and this component gets diluted during the process of cooking. ​Garlic Tea

Eating raw garlic may seem like a tough task, so if you want to get the most of this natural immunity boosting spice, then just follow us through this super easy garlic tea recipe and enjoy!

To make this tea, you can smash 1 garlic pod and add in 1 cup water to the pan and boil the tea for some time. Once the tea is hot enough and add in ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Allow the mixture to brew for 2 minutes and turn off the flame. Pour it in a cup and add 1 teaspoon honey and ½ teaspoon lemon juice.

You can tweak this tea as per you taste, you can keep it simple just by boiling a garlic pod and drinking it with a dash of cinnamon.

​Garlic Stew

To make a healthy garlic stew, wash 1 chicken breast and cut it into small cubes. Then take a pressure cooker, add in 1 teaspoon butter, add 4 garlic cloves, minced garlic, toss it nicely and add 1 onion chopped, then add 4 peppercorns, 1 teaspoon parsley, toss nicely for a minute. Then add in the chicken cubes and 4 whole garlic cloves, 1 inch ginger minced and 3 cups of water. Slow cook the stew and pressure cook the stew and allow to cook for 3-4 whistles and serve hot with coriander leaves.
