​Weight loss with Methi Seeds Water

Methi seeds water is a famous weight loss drink and for all the right reasons. Drinking methi seeds water on an empty stomach accelerates the weight loss process and also prevent bloating. Fenugreek is power-packed with fibre which gives you a feeling of satiety. This in turn aids in maintaining food portions and also prevents binge-eating.

​How to prepare

Ingredients required- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds and 1½ cup of water.

Method-

  • Firstly soak the fenugreek seeds in 1½ cup of water. Let the seeds remain soaked overnight.
  • The next morning, pour the water and the seeds into a pan. Keep it on high flame and let it come to a boil.
  • Now lower the flame to medium and let it simmer for 5-6 minutes or till there is only 1 cup of water left.
  • Now strain the water and let it cool down a bit. Drink warm on empty stomach for maximum benefits.
  • You can also chew the methi seeds but be prepared as they have a very bitter taste.

​How to include methi seeds in your daily diet

You can add ½ teaspoon methi seeds while preparing your sabzi. Vegetable recipes like aloo gajar matar and mix veg taste best with some fenugreek seeds.

Another way of including fenugreek seeds in your diet is by consuming them in powdered form. All you need to do is first is dry roast some fenugreek seeds in a pan. Next grind them properly to form a powder. Keep this powder in an airtight container and gulp ½ teaspoon every day with some sips of warm water.

Note- Methi seeds are hot in nature and thus must be used in small quantities. Make sure you just use 1 teaspoon in methi seeds water, 1//2 teaspoon in vegetables and ½ teaspoon in powdered form.
