Expert explains the right way to consume vegetable juices

Juicing can be a powerful way to nourish your body, but it is also important to juice the ingredients right. In a recent video on Instagram, health and wellness expert Dimple Jangda talked about the rules to follow while juicing fruits and vegetables. She also shared a list of vegetable juices that help aid different health issues. In the video, she explained why fruit and veggies should not be juiced together. According to Dimple, fruits contain sucrose and fructose, while vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. She recommends eating fruit and juicing selected vegetables as explained below.

2/8

Ash Gourd

According to Dimple, this juice should be consumed within 15 minutes of extraction, as it is rich in ascorbic acid, which reacts quickly with oxygen and can cause reactions. It is good for both intestines and colon. Also, it is cooling and hydrating and should be avoided by those with cough and cold.

3/8

ABC (Amla, beetroot, and Carrot)

This concoction is to detoxify the liver. As per Dimple, use of amla in place of apple is important, as it is a good source of vitamin C. Beetroot and carrot are good sources of beta carotene. They help in rebuilding the enzymes in the liver that help detoxify it.

4/8

Banana Stem

It is good for kidneys and helps treat UTI. It is good for dissolving gall bladder and kidney stones as well, states Dimple. She suggests dicing the slices and extracting the juice using a cold press juicer. It also helps in weight loss.

5/8

Celery and Cucumber

The combo helps in reducing inflammation in the entire body. She suggests washing celery with the help of apple cider vinegar to get rid of parasites and chemicals. She also suggests combining cucumber, which is rich in water content and is hydrating and cooling. According to Dimple, this juice helps in flushing out toxins from the kidney as well.

6/8

Cilantro and Parsley

This juice helps to remove heavy metal toxicity caused because of chemically-treated fruits, veggies, and packaged foods. They together flush out 85 to 95 % of mercury and cadmium from the body, states Dimple.

7/8

Moringa and Spirulina

According to Dimple, this combination helps purify the blood and is rich in iron that aids rebuilding RBC and improves skin and hair health as well.

8/8

Wheatgrass

This juice has anti-cancer properties. According to Dimple, wheatgrass is rich in vitamin A, C, K, E, iron, calcium, magnesium, polyphenols, flavonoids and has anti-cancer benefits. Dimple suggests consuming 10-20 ml of fresh juice for maximum benefits.
