One gown, two moods!

The glamorous world of Bollywood witnesses fashion moments every day. Where some echo class and elegance, others scream raw sophistication and regality. In this fashion-forward environment, many times we see actresses landing up in the same fits with different games that call for a fashion face-off. In today’s episode, we have the heat of Samantha Ruth Prabhu versus the sweetness of Ananya Panday. Both ladies were spotted draped in designer Krésha Bajaj’s cutout gown with contrasting moods. Two stars, one gown, and zero repeats. Let’s see who owned the look.

Ananya’s cheeky take

Ananya Panday wore a shimmering metallic rose gown from Krésha Bajaj’s Dubai Fashion Week showcase, which featured hand-embellished dense micro-beading texture, scattered with larger beads around the straps, which softly gleamed with the light. The body-fit, full-length gown with a slight flare at the hemline neatly sculpted Ananya’s waist, whereas the sheer cutout panels on both sides from the underarm to the knee carried a curious sense of sensuality. However, these sheer panels were intricately threaded with crisscrossing cords of fabric and revealed just the right amount of skin.

A glittering, sensuous case

In Ananya’s gown, the cut-outs represented the balanced architecture and spoke all about the tailored exposure with ornate handwork detailing. The display of skin in her gown was more than just another design but an embellishment in itself. Ensuring the dress remained the focal point, she kept all things basic and wore a sleek two-layered chunky diamond necklace by Karshev Jewellery and wore her hair slicked back with loose waves. On the makeup front, Ananya leaned more towards a warm, burnt umber-toned base with glossy lips and contoured cheeks.

Samantha carried the flirt

When Samantha makes an appearance, everyone stands still. The actress made hearts flutter, and we’re not complaining, as she sizzled in this brown dress with a corset touch, picked from the collection of her best friend Krésha Bajaj. She proudly flaunted her curves in this body-hugging silhouette, which came with a bustier neckline and revealed just a hint of cleavage. Decorated with thick straps, the steel deal came with cut-out detailing that added a bold and modern edge. The long triangular cut-outs on both sides, with the sculpted bust, set her apart from the others in the crowd, and we absolutely loved it.

Making it minimal yet bold

Letting her outfit take the centre stage, Samantha opted for a minimal accessory look and simply wore a pair of round earrings, ditching the heavy necklace show. She left her hair down in soft curls with a centre parting and carried just the right amount of volume. On the makeup front, the ‘Kushi’ actress carried a flawless base with highlighted cheeks that created the most perfect illuminating effect. Decorating her eyes with shimmery eyeshadow, she wore a nude shade of lipstick and softly smudged her kohl, exuding a subtle yet striking appearance.

Who owned the look?

Both outfits feature the same design but are drenched in different hues and textures. Perfect for red carpet events to night gatherings, this stunning couture ticks all the boxes of allure with a sensual edge, making it perfect to don on various affairs. Where Samantha’s look is for the woman who wishes to command a room with her fashion prowess, elegance, and strength, Ananya is the emerging girl next door, who wishes to be the diamond of the season and is shining brighter than anyone else. Both have opted for the same canvas but are painting different moods in their own ways.
So let us know whether you prefer Ananya’s shimmer touch or Samantha’s earthy tone, and how you would style it, in the comment section below.
