With brides like Sophie Turner and Indian-American entrepreneur Sanjana Rishi walking down the aisle in jumpsuits, trousers, and pantsuits, designers are incorporating bridal suits into their wedding collections globally. With more and more brides going the Sophie way, international designers like Bevza, Mon Cheri, and Carolina Herrera have even showcased their wedding pantsuit collection at fashion weeks.

For an impromptu wedding with Joe Jonas in Las Vegas, Sophie Turner, Sophie walked down the aisle wearing a sleek, silk jumpsuit by Ukrainian label Bevza, and completed her look with gold mules, a sheer veil, and a bouquet of white flowers. Sophie, who ditched an elaborate gown for an ivory jumpsuit that cost her less than €600 (Rs 53,618), ensured that the silk outfit did have feminine touches such as a deep neckline and gathered waist.

Emily Ratajkowski's wore a mustard yellow pantsuit to her court wedding

Model Emily Ratajkowski, who got married to Sebastian Bear-McClard in 2018, surprised everyone with her 'off the rack' $200 pantsuit. She revealed the news on Instagram, posting a series of pics behind the scenes of the ceremony. Ditching the traditional white gown, she wore a mustard yellow pantsuit instead and completed the look with a cool hat.

Indian bride Sanjana Rishi rocked a pantsuit at her Delhi wedding

Sanjana, 29, who got married in September in Delhi, sported a powder-blue pantsuit but completed the look with minimalistic jewellery and tulle and lace dupatta for Indian vibes. “New-age brides are now warming up to the idea of sporting blazers, pantsuits, jumpsuits,” says designer Karishma Goenka, adding, “Many have already started to sport them for ceremonies like haldi, mehendi and sangeet, with a traditional touch." Fabrics like velvet, satin, and even Indian handlooms with feminine cuts and silhouettes and colours - that are bold and eye-catching - work well.
