So people contemplating divorce should start gathering important documents well before filing a case, as these documents plays very crucial role in determining maintenance, child custody, division of assets, and other claims.
While the exact dicumentatipn required may vary depending on the circumstances of the marriage and the relief sought but certain documents are commonly needed in most divorce disputes. Requirements also differ based on the type of divorce like mutual consent or contested and the personal law governing the marriage.
