Pak security forces kill 5 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
​Pakistani security forces killed five terrorists on Friday during an intelligence-based operation in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said.

The operation was carried out in Darra Adam Khel town of Kohat district, around 30 km southwest of Peshawar. Police on Saturday said two Pakistani security personnel were also killed in the exchange of fire.

According to police, the action was launched following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces engaged the militants, killing five of them, news agency PTI reported.

Ukraine strikes oil tanker, depot in southern Russia; fires reported
Ukrainian drones struck an oil tanker and an oil depot in southern Russia, causing fires but no casualties, Russian authorities said.

The attacks are the latest in a series of Ukrainian strikes targeting Russian oil and energy infrastructure, which Kyiv says supports Moscow's war effort.

Yuri Slyusar, governor of Russia's Rostov region, said an oil tanker in the port of Taganrog was hit in the attack. The resulting fire was later extinguished by emergency services.

Authorities also reported a strike on an oil depot in the region. No injuries were reported in either incident.

Fire breaks out at cooler factory in Delhi's Bawana
Nine workers were safely rescued after a fire broke out at a cooler manufacturing unit in Delhi's Bawana industrial area in the early hours of Saturday, officials said. No injuries were reported. According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call regarding the blaze at a factory located in Sector 5 of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIDC) area was received at 3.16 am.

Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by around 5 am. Officials said the fire originated in the honeycomb pad section of the cooler factory, damaging materials stored in the basement and on the ground floor. A motorcycle parked in the basement was also gutted in the fire.

The factory building comprises a basement, ground floor and two upper floors. All nine workers present inside the premises were evacuated safely during the firefighting operation, DFS officials said.

Marcia Lucas, who won an Oscar as editor of the original 1977 “Star Wars" has died, a lawyer for her family said Friday.


Lucas, who was married to “Star Wars” creator George Lucas from 1969 to 1983, died Wednesday from metastatic cancer, the attorney, Deidre Von Rock, said in an email to The Associated Press. Marcia Lucas died in Rancho Mirage, California, surrounded by loved ones, Von Rock said. She was 80.


Marcia Lucas was the editor on 1983's “Return of the Jedi” and the pre-"Star Wars" George Lucas-directed films “THX 1138” and “American Graffiti.”
