Bhuvan Bam of BB Ki Vines fame buys a bungalow worth 11 crores in South Delhi
Bhuvan Bam, famous for his roles as a comedian, writer, singer, songwriter, and a popular YouTuber, has recently made headlines for his high-profile real estate investment. According to documents accessed by CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, Bam has acquired a new lavish bungalow in the affluent Greater Kailash area of South Delhi, making a substantial investment of Rs 11 crores. The sale deed, executed in Bam's name on August 7, 2023, involved a stamp duty payment of 77 lakhs.
Situated in the upscale neighborhood of Greater Kailash, the newly acquired property spans a land area of 1937 sq ft and boasts a total area of 2233 sq ft. Notably close to the Bam family's previous residence, the bungalow features an expansive living room, four bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a designated dining area, a terrace, and a lush lawn. Additionally, the property provides ample parking space for two cars and is equipped with a comprehensive security system.
Bhuvan Bam, widely recognized for his immensely popular YouTube comedy channel, BB Ki Vines, which humorously depicts the life of an urban teenager through his interactions with friends and family, has amassed a substantial fan following of over 20 million subscribers on the platform. Beyond his comedic endeavours, Bam has also ventured into the realms of music and acting. He is a singer and songwriter, having released multiple singles like Sang Hoon Tere, Safar, Rahguzaar, and Ajnabee. Furthermore, he has showcased his acting prowess in short films such as Plus Minus and Titu Talks, as well as web series like Dhindora and Who’s Your Daddy.
The acquisition of the opulent bungalow in Greater Kailash places Bhuvan Bam in the league of celebrities investing in luxurious properties in Delhi. Earlier in February 2023, Vasudha Rohatgi, the wife of former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi, acquired a sprawling 2,160-square-yard bungalow in Delhi’s Golf Links for a staggering 160 crores. Similarly, businessman Bhanu Chopra, founder of RateGain, made headlines with his purchase of a 127.5-crore bungalow at Delhi Golf Links in the same month. Moreover, in 2023, a high-end luxury apartment at The Camellias by DLF on Golf Course Road was sold for approximately 114 crores in a resale transaction, boasting a spacious 11,000 sq ft.
Delhi's real estate market has witnessed a resurgence in recent years, particularly in the high-end segment, as affluent buyers increasingly demand premium properties. According to a report by Knight Frank India, more than 75% of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) anticipate strong performance from the real estate sector over the next two to three years. The report further highlighted that Delhi stands as the most favoured city for real estate investment among HNIs and UHNIs, followed closely by Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Bhuvan Bam's acquisition of a lavish bungalow in Greater Kailash, South Delhi, not only reflects his thriving career as a versatile entertainer but also mirrors the broader trend of celebrities investing in opulent residences in the capital city. The strategic location, impressive features, and proximity to his previous residence mark a significant milestone in Bam's journey of success. This move aligns with the upward trajectory of Delhi's real estate market, driven by increasing demand for premium properties among affluent buyers. Bam's choice contributes to the narrative of Delhi emerging as a preferred destination for real estate investment among high-net-worth individuals. Beyond his creative endeavors, this real estate venture adds another facet to Bhuvan Bam's multifaceted success story, highlighting his ascent in both the entertainment industry and the realm of property investment.
