IMAX set to return to Hyderabad after more than 12 years

After more than 12 years, the premium IMAX format is set to return to the city with an IMAX screen at the luxury multiplex coming up on the site of the historic Sudarshan 70MM theatre at RTC X Roads. Speaking with us, Suniel Narang, Managing Director of Asian Cinemas, said “The new multiplex will have eight screens. We’re planning to open all the screens in October 2026, around Dussehra, maximum Diwali.” The project is backed by Asian Cinemas along with actors Mahesh Babu, Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh.
