Navdeep turns 33: An Incredible Actor, Fitness Freak, and Kind-Hearted Soul

Gone the days when South Indian heroes used to appear stout and mediocre on the silver screen. Despite their majestic acting skills, they have fallen a bit short before Bollywood male leads in terms of physique and on-screen appearance. However, the present bunch of actors in Telugu cinema, are taking their bodies and fitness pretty seriously. They are not hesitating to put in tons of effort in the gym to remain fit and maintain a well-toned physique. And, Navdeep is one among those.

The talented actor hailing from the mini town of Chirala sweated it hard and made it big in the showbiz world without any godfather or financial backing. Despite all the crests and troughs his decade-and-a-half career has seen, it’s his practical understanding of how the industry functions, and his readiness to experiment that makes him still survive. Lastly seen as Krish in Kunal Kohli’s rom-com ‘Next Enti?’, the 33-year-old actor is a happy person in real life and extremely fond of pets like cats & dogs. As Navdeep is celebrating his birthday today, here are some of his cute pics with pets.

First Telugu Film as the Male Lead @ 17 years of age

During his high school days itself, Navdeep bagged the lead role in Teja’s seventh film ‘Jai’. Learning the nuances of acting from the versatile storyteller, the young lad delivered an impressive show as an Indian college boxer locking horns with Laskar-E-Taiba terrorists. Despite critical acclaim and positive reviews for the protagonist’s acting, the film failed to perform on the commercial front. The following year, Navdeep made his Tamil debut with the crime-drama ‘Arinthum Ariyamalum’ which turned out to be a surprise hit at the ticket counters. The 2005-released ‘Gowtam SSC’ gave him his box-office hit in Tollywood.

Highly Skilled but short of Luck

Navdeep has everything that it takes to be a perfect hero; Sharp looks, handsome personality, well-built physique and convincing acting chops. But sadly, luck is not on his side. During the prime of his career, the actor has faced successive failures with a string of films like ‘Premante Inte’, ‘Seethakoka Chiluka’, ‘Poramboku’ and ‘A Aa E Ee’ to name a few. However, amid all this chaos, the talented hunk bagged a solid hit with Krishna Vamsi’s multi-starrer ‘Chandamama’. His comedy-timing was spot on in the romantic-drama and he produced some fabulous chemistry with Kajal Aggarwal on the silver screen.

Understood the Survival Mantra quite well

With no solo hits to his credit, Navdeep began playing the second lead or lengthy supporting roles in big-ticket films. In Sukumar’s ‘Arya 2’, he literally stole the show alongside Allu Arjun by playing the complex role of Ajay with ease. His quick transformation from a positive guy to a negative individual is quite commendable and can’t be ignored. The quintessential actor also essayed the role of a full-fledged baddie in NTR’s ‘Baadshah’ and received a big thumbs-up. Though a short one, his pivotal role in ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ lifted the emotional quotient of the film and he was damn convincing.

Successful on TV and Web Also

Impressive as a lead anchor at several film festivals and award shows, Navdeep hosted the first edition of Super, the Telugu version of the popular Fear Factor. Besides being a certified paragliding pilot, he enjoys the adrenaline rush going on frequent treks. After entering as a wildcard contestant and creating an impression with his wit and charm, the handsome lad finished fourth in the first edition of Bigg Boss Telugu hosted by Junior NTR. Navdeep is also a popular star on the web with lead roles in shows like ‘Mana Mugguri Love Story’ and ‘Gangstars’.

Very fond of pets like Dogs & Cats

By witnessing the above images, you’d have come to the conclusion that Navdeep is extremely fond of pet animals. He owns several dogs and likes to be around them when he is not shooting. His cute photos with them go instantly viral on social media platforms and he is also active in social work. David Beckham and Nagarjuna are his all-time Style Icons. Navdeep admits that doing a variety of roles in Tollywood, be it negative, positive or solo made him still survive in the glamour arena. In his next film ‘Veeramadevi’ which is a bilingual historical-drama, Navdeep is sharing the screen with none other than the gorgeous Sunny Leone.
