This amazing movie is worth a watch for everyone and we’ve got ample reasons to prove the same

Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma’s Pelli Choopulu was one of the best Telugu films of the decade. The film was a massive hit, and the stars had received a lot of praise from all corners. The film won not only positive reviews from critics but also received the two National Film Awards for Best Telugu Film and Best Screenplay at the 64th National Film Awards. ​A breezy romantic entertainer

Pelli Choopulu, produced by BigBen Cinemas and Dharmapatha Creations, is a romantic comedy entertainer that revolves around a youngster Vijay whose father decides to make him marry a girl in hopes that he might become a responsible man meets an ambitious girl who changes his life better. It featured Vijay Deverakonda as Vijay and proved to be a gamechanger for the young star. Ritu Varma, who plays an ambitious Chitra gives a strong performance.

​Tharun Bhascker's direction

Filmmaker Tharun Bhascker has come a long way ever since his directorial debut film Pelli Choopulu was released worldwide on July 29, 2016. Post the release of his debut film, there has been no looking back for the National award-winning filmmaker. Tharun Bhascker had fetched the National Film Award for providing Best Screenplay and the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu. This film wouldn't have been possible without Tharun’s understanding of cinema.

​Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma's performances

Pelli Choopulu has Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma in the lead. The treatment in which the two lead characters dealt with the story is commendable. A powerhouse performer completely aware of his strengths, and using them to perfection to enhance his character portrayal. That's Vijay Deverakonda in Pelli Choopulu. Ritu Varma will forever be remembered as Chitra, and she will forever have a special place in the hearts of film lovers.

​Beautiful music

Directed by Tharun Bhascker, the movie is a collection of stellar music, each song a masterpiece. May it then be "Ee Babu Gariki", "Chinuku Taake" or "Merise Merise", "Aanandamayenu", each song evokes the kind of emotion that only Vivek Sagar’s music can. Actor Rahul Ramakrishna has crooned a couple of songs in the film.

​Supporting cast and crew

Apart from featuring lead actors, Pelli Choopulu also featured Priyadarshi, Abhay Bethiganti, Nandu, Anish Kuruvilla and Kedar Shankar, among others in significant roles. The film was written by Tharun Bhascker and has Ravi Teja Girijala on board as the editor. Nagesh Banell has been roped in to handle cinematography for the venture, while Vivek Sagar is on board as the music composer. Released in 2016, the film continues to win hearts with its saga of romance, melodious music and hilarious comedy.
