A political drama directed by Mani Ratnam, ‘Iruvar’ explored the intersection of cinema and politics. The film featured an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Aishwarya Rai, Tabu, Revathi, and Gautami. Prakash Raj played Tamil Selvam, a flamboyant politician inspired by M. Karunanidhi.
