Last seen in the blockbuster entertainer ‘Velaikkaran’, Nayanthara is all set for the grand release of the comedy-thriller ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, which is directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar. The film has high expectations among the audiences and rightly so. ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ has already gotten good response in the advance booking status. With the film hitting the screens tomorrow, here are five reasons to catch ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ in theatres tomorrow.

​Nayanthara

Fondly called as ‘Lady Superstar’, Nayanthara is one of the biggest stars we have down South. In fact, she is the only actress who has a strong following in other states like Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. After acting in some mindless entertainers, Nayanthara started to play female-oriented characters. She has been getting a lot of appreciation for the characters Nayanthara chooses to play on the screen. Last year alone, Nayanthara gave three memorable films like ‘Dora’, ‘Aramm’ and ‘Velaikkaran’, which have become very successful at the box office. Without any doubt, it’s safe to say that Nayanthara is the crowd-pulling factor of ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’. Interestingly, she also becomes the first actress to have special morning shows, which have been reserved for male stars till now.

​The plot of Kolamaavu Kokila

Going by the trailer, Nayanthara seems to be playing a drug peddler, who has been assigned a task to transport ‘Kolamaavu’ aka drugs. What follows next is a series of unwarranted twists and turns that makes ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ an interesting thriller. Also, when was the last time we saw a woman playing such powerful role on the screen? Nayanthara as Kokila looks innocent and adorable! According to reports, ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ will also encompass elements like comedy, action and sentiment, and the film is likely to strike a chord with the family audiences. Popularly known as ‘CoCo’, the film will mark the debut of Nelson Dhilipkumar.

​​Positive vibes on social media

‘Kolmaavu Kokila’ has created huge hype on social media, thanks to the sensational number ‘Kalyaana Vayasu’, which soared the expectations among filmgoers. Following the success of the song, the makers released the much-awaited trailer of ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’. Much to everyone’s expectations, the trailer gotten terrific response on the internet and earned over 4 million views on YouTube. Considering the responses on social media platforms, then ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ is very likely to emerge a winner at the box office. Reports also suggest that the advance booking for ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ was sold out for the first three days.

​Good supporting cast

‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ has some big names among its supporting cast. Barring Nayanthara, the film has senior actress Saranya Ponvannan playing the mother’s role. Interestingly, Saranya is one of the most loved artists in Tamil cinema. The actress has a decent fan following, after she played doting mother in films like ‘Kalavani’, ‘VIP’ and ‘OK OK’ to name a few. Veteran actor RS Sivaji playing an important role. Of course, the main highlight is Yogi Babu, who has become the best comedian in recent times. Yogi Babu’s journey so far is just inspiring. The actor along with Rajendran will provide the comical relief in ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, which also has television host Jacqueline playing a minor role.

​Anirudh Ravichander’s music

One of the main reasons to watch ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ is obviously Anirudh Ravichander, whose chartbusting album the biggest strength of the film. Particularly, the song ‘Kalyaana Vayasu’ has become a phenomenal hit on the internet. ‘Kalyaana Vayasu’ penned by Sivakarthikeyan has clocked over 40 million views on YouTube. In a few years, Anirudh Ravichander has somehow managed to establish a strong fanbase among the youngsters in Tamil Nadu. Needless to say, his songs are extremely popular among the music lovers. In ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ Anirudh has collaborated with Gautham Menon and music composer Sean Roldan for the song ‘Edhuvaraiyo’, which too, has gotten positive response. Apart from the songs, Anirudh’s pulsating background score is one of the things to look forward to in ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, which is scheduled to release tomorrow.
