There is always a taboo around the topic of nepotism in the entertainment industry. Though cinema is a place where only talent lets a person shine, over the years there are speculations and claims that nepotism in cinema has exceeded to the maximum and it has become a grey area to discuss the professional or career lines of the actors, actresses or directors. Actress Nalini’s children Aruna Subramanian is a lawyer and her son Arun is an Auditor. Both her children are successful in their profession. Nalini is known well for her character Baby in the film ‘London’. She acted as Vadivelu’s wife in the film.

Born to Mani Ratnam and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Nandan is an upcoming politician. Nandan is a doctoral student of theology at Oxford. Suhasini Mani Ratnam once in an interview reportedly stated that Nandan was interested in becoming a politician and is currently studying politics.

Madhavan who is known as the chocolate boy of Indian cinema is the father of Vedaant who won the medal for the fast-rising Indian swimmer and he also won the gold for the country in the men’s 800m freestyle at the Danish Open. After winning the tournament, Vedaant in his interview said that he did not want to live under his dad’s shadow and wanted to make a name for himself and not be known to the world as just Madhavan’s son
