Highlights from the 'Ponniyin Selvan' Kerala pre-release event

The 'Ponniyin Selvan' team has begun their promotional tour to interact with fans across locations ahead of the film's release. The team started their tour with Kerala and met fans in Trivandrum, on Tuesday (Sep 20). Surprisingly, Mani Ratnam has also joined the lead stars of the film for the promotion tour and interacted with fans in Kerala. Chiyaan Vikram is an enthusiastic actor and he always keeps his atmosphere a happy one. When the 'Ponniyin Selvan' team was welcomed in Kerala style with Chenda Melam, Chiyaan Vikram too joined the celebration and started playing the Chenda (percussion instrument) along with the troupe. Keralites went crazy over the actor’s gesture and started cheering "Chiyaan Chiyaan Chiyaan...." during his speech. Vikram also recalled a moment when he was unnoticed in his debut Malayalam film, and shared that he feels happy to be winning so much love now.

Karthi sang a few lines of 'En Kadhal Solla Neram Illai' from his film 'Paiyaa' and surprised the fans. The actor also spoke a few words in Malayalam and thanked fans for the amazing response and gave a special mention to his brother and actor Suriya’s fans, who appreciated him during the Kerala trip.

Trisha started her speech in Malayalam by welcoming Kerala fans, and then she went speechless over the unconditional love she received. She added that she is overwhelmed by the response from Kerala fans, and is extremely proud to be part of the prestigious film 'Ponniyin Selvan'.

Even though Jayam Ravi has visited Trivandrum several times, he was stunned by the warm welcome from fans as he arrived with the 'Ponniyin Selvan' team for the film promotion. Jayam Ravi explained his connection with Kerala and promised the fans that 'Ponniyin Selvan' will satisfy the audience for sure.
