'Nattamai'

KS Ravikumar joined hands with Sarathkumar for the rural drama 'Nattamai," and the film sheds light on the bonding of brothers. The emotional drama turned out to be one of the best rural dramas in Tamil, and the film had completed 175 days in theatres. 'Nattamai' bagged the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film and Best Director, and the successful Tamil film was also remade in several languages.

'Natpukkaga'

After the blockbuster 'Nattamai," KS Ravikumar and Sarathkumar reunited again for 'Natpukkaga," and it was a rural entertainer by the director. But this time the film explains the bonding of two friends, and the director has perfectly packed the film with romance, comedy, and emotions. 'Natpukkaga' won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film, and it also won the Filmfare Award for Best Film.

'Padayappa'

After teaming up with Rajinikanth for 'Muthu', KS Ravikumar collaborated with the popular actor for 'Padayappa," and this time it's an inspirational story of a youngster. KS Ravikumar packed the film with fanatical moments for Rajinikanth's fans, and the film turned out to be a mega-blockbuster. 'Padayappa' emerged as one of the landmark films for Rajinikanth at the box office, and the film also won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film.

'Dasavathaaram'

After doing a few challenging films with Kamal Haasan, KS Ravikumar joined forces with the actor for 'Dasavathaaram', while the film's story was written by Kamal Haasan. KS Ravikumar gave life to Kamal Haasan's story by bringing up the film brilliantly, and the high-budget drama featuring Kamal Haasan in ten different roles transformed it into one of the best films in Tamil. 'Dasavathaaram' won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film, but KS Ravikumar failed to strike a big hit in Tamil later.
