'Dharala Prabhu' to 'Oh My Kadavule': Five Tamil films which are set for a re-release

Cinema theaters are set to reopen from tomorrow after seven months-long shut down due to the Corona attack. Theater lovers are happy to see their favorite film on big screens, and the theater owners are all geared up to follow the government's safety guidelines. Theater owners have decided to re-release some of the super hit films from their vault to bring back the audience to theaters. Fans are ready for the biggest entertainment, and they are also expecting any new releases ahead of the grand festival Diwali. Have a look at the five Tamil films from 'Dharala Prabhu' to 'Oh My Kadavule', which are set for a re-release from tomorrow.

'Dharala Prabhu'

Harish Kalyan's romantic comedy film 'Dharala Prabhu', which is directed by Krishna Marimuthu, was released last March. The Corona attack has heavily affected the film theatrical run, and the makers were disappointed because of it. Now, a piece of happy news comes in as a few theater owners decide to re-release the film on their screens. 'Dharala Prabhu' is a remake of the Hindi film 'Vicky Donor', and it features Harish Kalyan, Tanya Hope, and Vivek in the lead roles.

'Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu'

The adult comedy horror film 'Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu' starring Gautham Karthik was released in 2018, and the film stirred up controversy for its content. Now, Santhosh P. Jayakumar is ready with its sequel 'Irandam Kuththu', and the film is getting ready for release. Ahead of the sequel, 'Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu' is set for a re-release in Chennai for the fans to recall the film.

'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal' features Dulquer Salmaan, Ritu Varma, Rakshan, and Niranjani Ahathian in lead roles while Gautam Menon played a brisk role as a cop. The romantic heist comedy film received an amazing response, and it was successful at the box office. Now, the super hit film is set for a re-release as it will be a good option to bring back the audience to theaters.

2019 Diwali blockbuster Vijay's 'Bigil' gets more attention from fans even one year after the film release. Vijay played the dual role as a father and son in the sports drama 'Bigil', which was directed by Atlee, and the film also Nayanthara, Kathir, and Yogi Babu in crucial roles.

'Oh My Kadavule'

Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh starrer 'Oh My Kadavule', which was directed by debutant Ashwath Marimuthu received highly positive reviews. The romantic comedy was released last Valentine's Day, and it had a good theatrical run. Now, the lovable film will be back on big screens from tomorrow, and fans are happy to enjoy it again. Vijay Sethupathi played an extended cameo in the film, and the film music was scored by Leon James.
