'Ghilli' to 'Leo': Best movies of Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan to watch on OTT

Vijay and Trisha Krishnan make one of the most loved on-screen pairs. They have collaborated together on many movies, spanning across from massy action entertainers to emotionally driven family dramas and fans have loved their chemistry on celluloid over the years. Their performances have made a lasting impact and recently when they reunited onscreen after 14 years with 'Leo', the excitement among fans was hard to miss. Ghilli

Directed by Dharani, ‘Ghilli’ was the very first time Vijay and Trisha appeared together on screen the film instantly became iconic. Vijay who plays Velu risks everything to protect Trisha’s character Dhanalakshmi from the terrifying Muthu Pandi, played by Prakash Raj. Beyond the action and drama, it was their effortless bonding that stood out, especially in the evergreen ‘Apadi Podu’ song. The film recently re-released in theatres for the second time on February 20, 2026. It had originally released in 2004 and re-released for the first time in 2024.

Thirupachi

In Perarasu’s ‘Thirupaachi’, Vijay essays the role of Siva, a fiercely loyal village man, while Trisha plays Subha, his love interest. Their light-hearted banter and warmth added charm to a film driven largely by intense family emotions and vigilante justice. The romance offered a soft counterpoint to the film’s aggressive tone.
