Did you know that the real name of Ghuggi is Gurpreet Singh Waraich? Ghuggi is just the stage name that the actor uses. This name was given to him by comedian Balwinder Vicky, under whose guidance Gurpreet worked on his comedy acts. The name later caught fire and till date, the actor-comedian is called with it.

Unlike other lead actors of Pollywood, Gurpreet Ghuggi is not very active on social media. Thus, having a sneak peek into his personal space is a little difficult. All that we know about his personal life is that the actor is happily married to Kuljeet Kaur and has two adorable kids, son Sukham Ghuggi and daughter Ramneek Ghuggi.

Although for a very short span of time, Gurpreet also enjoyed the stature of a politician. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2014, and in mid-2016 he became the state party convener. There were rumors doing the rounds that he would be joining another political party and in that scenario, his decision of being a part of AAP surprised many. However, in 2017, when Bhagwant Maan took over the post, Gurpreet left AAP.
