Every year, fresh faces are introduced to the audience on the big screen. With the pandemic emerging large, shooting of all films are at a halt and several actors and filmmakers dream's of their much-awaited Bollywood debuts are yet to be fulfilled.

Here we bring you the list of FIVE Marathi filmmakers who are set to enter Bollywood with their respective projects.

​Vishal Furia

After impressing the audience with his debut Marathi directorial 'Lapachhapi' in 2017, filmmaker Vishal Furia is now all set to make his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of his Marathi film ''Lapachhapi' which is titled 'Chhori'.

The ace filmmaker took to his social media handle to reveal that Bollywood actress Nushrat Bharucha will be playing the lead in his upcoming horror film 'Chhori'.

​Digpal Lanjekar

Marathi history enthusiast Digpal Lanjekar is well-known for his historical films like 'Farzand' and 'Fatteshikast', is now gearing up for his big Bollywood debut.

In a recent interaction with Etimes, filmmaker Digpal Lanjekar revealed "I took this lockdown positively and made the best use of time. I was working on the script of my upcoming Bollywood film which is based on the backdrop of pre-independence"

​Tejas Deoskar

Actor-director Tejas Deoskar has garnered a lot of accolades for Marathi films like 'Ajinkya', 'Premsutra', and 'Bucket List' as a director. Now, as per the latest update, Deoskar is set to make his big Bollywood debut with Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP.

The makers recently announced project will see actress Rakul Preet Singh essay the role of a condom tester.

​Priyadarshan Jadhav

Actor-director Priyadarshan Jadhav who gained name, fame, and love of the audience by his stellar performance is all set to make his Hindi debut with the remake of his Marathi film 'Choricha Mamla'.

While speaking to Etimes, actor-director, Priya darshan Jadhav said "The response from 'Choricha Mamla' was very overwhelming for me and my entire team. So, I have decided to make my Hindi debut with 'Choricha Mamla'. But the title of the film will not remain the same, currently we are working on the script and the film's title"

​Sameer Vidwans

Director Sameer Vidwans recently won a National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues for his biographical film 'Anandi Gopal' (2019). Reportedly, the 'Dhurala' star is now gearing up for his Bollywood debut with a love story, which will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
