'Girlz': Here's why you shouldn't miss watching the Vishal Devrukhkar's directorial

Marathi cinema's popular filmmaker, Vishal Devrukhkar's last release 'Boyz' and 'Boyz 2' made a splash at the box office. Now, Vishal is all set to take the audience on a rollercoaster ride with his upcoming film 'Girlz'. This film is about positively changing the perception of kids and parents towards each other. The movie stars Ankita Lande, Ketaki Narayan, Anvita Phaltankar, and Parth Bhalerao in pivotal roles. As the film is all set to hit the theaters on November 29, we give you a rundown of reasons to watch the film.

2/6

Quirky concept

Ever since the makers dropped the much-anticipated trailer, it became the talk of the town for its quirky content. The film deals with the issue of modern girls facing the brunt from their more traditional family members on the kind of lives they lead. This is made clear in the scene where a character writes ‘#FamilySucks’ on a mirror.

3/6

Ankita Lande's debut in Marathi cinema

Marathi film ‘Girlz’ has generated a lot of curiosity among the film lovers. The popular television actress, Ankita Lande is all set to make her debut in Marathi cinema with Vishal Devrukhkar's latest offering. Ankita Lande, who is being launched in the film has already created a buzz in social media with her character poster, where she is showing two middle fingers and her top reads, ‘#FamilySucks’ it is clear that she is playing a devil-may-care character who doesn’t like being told what to do by her family.

4/6

Vishal Devrukhkar's directorial

Director Vishal Devrukhkar was praised for the way he handled the innuendos of dialogues and the treatment of sex and comedy. After the success of the Marathi film 'Boyz', and 'Boy 2' everyone is eager to watch Vishal's latest offering 'Girlz'. This film is again going to be the cult film of the year. Recently, released trailer and poster from the film has clear the air that the film will be bolder than the 'Boyz' and 'Boyz 2'. Vishal has dealt with themes of comedy, friendship and love in a beautiful manner. So it’s natural to expect him to do so in this one too.

5/6

After receiving the 56th Maharashtra State Film Awards earlier this year, he was adorned with yet another 'Best Supporting Actor' award at the 66th National Film Awards for his stupendous role in Marathi film, ‘Chumbak’. Now, the 'Chumbak' star is all set to tickle your funny bone in Vishal Devrukhkar's 'Girlz'.
