#Whatif ‘Gone Girl’ was made in Mollywood

Welcome back, my travel partners. Renowned Hollywood director David Fincher’s most acidic black comedy ‘Gone Girl’ explores the theme of fateful couple’s relationships that literally gives you a creepy feeling from start to end. Today let's take a ride into this David Fincher's modern classic and look into the possibilities of the film being remade in Mollywood. Over to Simon.

#Simon Says, “ With ‘Gone Girl’ David Fincher took the trust issues between couples to another level and added a bit of creepiness to it. I am so surprised as we will be having a suspense-filled ride today. Kindly pass me the tickets and buckle up your seat belts as ETimes presents the 30th episode of #Whatif ‘Gone Girl’ was made in Mollywood.”

Possibility 1: Nick Dunne as Indrajith Sukumaran

#Simon Says, “ Nick Dunne, the poor husband character in ‘Gone Girl’ was played by the renowned actor Ben Affleck. Mollywood actor Indrajith Sukumaran has a set of acting talents that is somewhat similar to Ben Affleck. Coming to the Mollywood remake, Indrajith Sukumara would be apt for the role.”

Possibility 2: Desi Collings as Fahadh Faasil

#Simon Says, “ Even though the Hollywood actor Neil Patrick Harris shares a limited screen time in ‘Gone Girl’, his character is so well structured that allows an actor to unveil his full potential in acting. In the Mollywood remake of ‘Gone Girl’, Fahadh Faasil can play the role of Desi Collings flawlessly.”

Possibility 3: Amy Dunne as Nayanthara

#Simon Says, “ Here comes the most devilish character of all time, Amy Dunne, who is the wife of Nick Dunne. Hollywood actress Rosamund Pike simply steps into the shoes of the character by perfectly adapting the mannerisms of the antagonist Amy Dunne. Nayanthara, who has all the talents required to play such an antagonist character would be apt to reprise the role in the Mollywood remake.”

Possibility 4: Directed by Dileesh Pothan

#Simon Says, “ Choosing the director Dileesh Pothan for helming the remake of ‘Gone Girl’ has several reasons. One is that the script of the film really depends upon the well-built characters in it and the second is the fact that the thrill element of the film works well due to its realistic treatment. Both these factors are safe in the hands of a director like Dileesh Pothan. Any doubts? Check out his recent film ‘Joji’.

#Simon Says, “ So we have explored the realm of the Hollywood film ‘Gone Girl’ and checked into most of the possibilities on What if the film was remade in Mollywood. It's a sure shot that the film would remain a classic if the director Dileesh Pothan dons the director’s cap for the movie and also with the fact that the film is filled with most of the talents from Mollywood. Hope you guys loved this episode. We will be back next week with yet another interesting episode of #Whatif. Till then bye.”
