​Rima Kallingal on playing Bhargavi in ‘Neelavelicham’

Makers of ‘Neelavelicham’ launched the first glimpse of the film, by dropping the song ‘Anuraga Madhuchashakam’ featuring Rima Kallingal. The classic number composed by MS Baburaj received a fresh tribute from Aashiq Abu, and the new video has gone viral. “At every stage we wanted it to look authentic, so dancers had to have some Kerala folk dance experience. It’s been a long strenuous process, but that is the thrill of it. And finally when it goes viral, it is ‘ok, this is amazing’,” Rima Kallingal said, while talking to Kochi Times, about the song.

​Dileep’s ‘D148’ starts rolling

Dileep has teamed up with ‘Udal’ director Ratheesh Reghunandan for his next. The film went on floors this week in Kottayam, and is tentatively titled ‘D148’. The upcoming film is said to be a thriller, and has a talented bunch of actors in important roles.

​Karan Johar calls Prithviraj Sukumaran a ‘Megastar’

Popular filmmaker and producer Karan Johar has referred to Prithviraj Sukumaran as a ‘Megastar’. The duo are co-producing the upcoming Hindi film ‘Selfiee’, which is also the remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s blockbuster ‘Driving License’. “The idea to collaborate with him just seemed liked the most exciting because I have such tremendous regard for this megastar, not just in Malayalam cinema but in Indian cinema who came on board with us as a producer and has been the most amazing positive energy for us,” Karan Johar said.

​Mohanlal to team up with Syam Pushkaran

National award-winning scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran, best known for his works ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’, ‘Mayanadhi’, ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ and ‘Joji’, will be soon teaming up with superstar Mohanlal! Yeah, that’s right. The scriptwriter himself confirmed the same during a recent interaction with the media. More details regarding the filmmaker or the genre of the film, are currently unavailable.
