The film will be the first Kannada film to release in 2021

It was announced earlier that the film will be the first Kannada release of 2021. While many films were ready for release in 2020, the pandemic derailed the plans. Hence most makers will be looking at a 2021 release.

Raghavendra Rajkumar plays the lead.

The actor plays the role of a retired army officer who fights against the corruption in society. In a few stills released by the makers of the film, the actor is seen sporting a beard, dressed in a suit.

PVR Swamy to direct the film

The project is directed by PVR Swamy and marks his debut in Sandalwood as a director. During the muhurat of the film, Raghavendra had spoken about working with director PVR Swamy again. "He had narrated the story of Rajatantra back then and now we are ready to begin work on it. I play a retired military captain, who after years of protecting the country from outside forces, continues to do so by battling evils in society around him. How he goes about doing that using his wit and intellect forms the crux of the narrative," the actor had said.

The film deals with the subject of corruption

The film also has Bhavya, Doddana, Srinivasa Murthy, Shankar Ashwath and other actors in prominent roles

Trailer launched by Puneeth Rajkumar

The trailer of the film was launched a few days back by actor and brother Puneeth Rajkumar. This will be Raghavendra Rajkumar's third movie since his return to acting, after a long 15-year break. His previous two releases were 'Ammana Mane' and 'Thrayambakam' in 2019.
