BTS's funniest moments: From Jungkook's Vine phase to J-Hope's butter chicken incident

As BTS’ first comeback in 3 years is coming closer day by day, it's important to revisit some of the most memorable moments from the past. Over the years, BTS has managed to create a name for itself and has remained humble through it all. Fans have been buzzing with excitement over what is to come next in the group’s journey; however, for now, here is a look back at some of the group’s funniest off-script moments that had everyone rolling on the floor.

Dubsmash and Vines were all the trend before reels and other short-form video platforms took over. Jungkook, in the prime of his youth, was not far behind in following up with the trend back then. He, along with his fellow member V, used to regularly upload short and cut-edit videos of them lip-syncing to iconic and hilarious audios, which included ‘Ice Cream and Cakey Cake’, ‘Jimin, You got no jams’, ‘SpongeBob dubstep’, and the most iconic of all, a lip-sync to Charli XCX’s ‘Boom, clap.’

The members are fully supportive when it comes to each other’s solo projects. From posting about it on their account to talking about it, all of the members always have high praise to sing for their fellow members. The youngest and oldest members of BTS took one step further when they featured as extras on Suga’s music video for ‘Daechwita.’ In the video, Suga ‘accidentally’ bumps into Jin, who turns around in anger; however, he also hits Jungkook, and the two members start play-fighting while Suga continues to rap like a maestro.

Every year, on Halloween, BTS has a tendency to upload special content for fans to celebrate the festivities. These often include dressing up as characters while dancing to their songs. In 2017, the group uploaded a video to their channel where they danced along to their song ‘GO (GOGO).’ The video showed all of the members dressed head to toe as the characters of the classic tale of ‘Snow White.’ This time around, however, there are 6 dwarves, and V ends up transforming into the princess Snow White!

Last year in July, Namjoon held a live stream, or at least tried to in order to connect with fans. His attempt was short-lived, as the live stream cut off after exactly 2 minutes and 25 seconds. Namjoon, the leader of BTS is well-known for his clumsy antics, and the mishap here ended up happening because the idol dropped his phone in the water. Although he promised he would return in a few minutes, it could not happen as the idol later posted that the phone was now beyond repair. This moment lives as another iconic and funny moment in BTS history.

This one hits close to home for Indian ARMYs, as butter chicken is a common Indian dish that many people know about internationally. In a live stream that the rapper of the group held last year, a fan once mentioned the dish to him. Fans were left laughing in fits after the idol replied in a confused manner, asking it “Is that a breakfast dish?” The video went viral at the time, with many fans sarcastically joking about how dare J-Hope was unaware of what butter chicken is.
