‘Raabta’: Interesting facts about the Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon film

Kriti Sanon is all geared up for the release of her upcoming mystery-drama 'Raabta'. Just a day before its big release, the 'Dilwale' actress introduced fans and followers to her warrior princess character - Saiba. The film that is based on the theme of reincarnation and revenge will see the leading stars in two very different time periods. Kriti posted a breathtakingly beautiful picture of her character and captioned it saying, "She is fearless... She's determined... She is SAIBA!"

The film that also stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Jim Sarbh, is all set to release on June 9th, 2017.

National Film Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao will be seen playing a 324-year-old man in the forthcoming film 'Raabta'.The just released trailer of 'Raabta' is packed with intrigue, love and the promise of a powerful storyline. The trailer ends with an element of surprise.At the end of the trailer, one can spot a mysterious looking character, played by the 'Trapped' actor.A special team from Los Angeles got on board and worked with Zuby Johal to etch the look for the actor.Rajkummar underwent five to six hours of prosthetic everyday to get into his character. In addition to that, his styling was important. He had to wear accessories and also have tattoos.

Actor Irrfan Khan has lent his voice for the trailer of ‘Raabta’, helmed by debutant director Dinesh Vijan. Turns out, Dinesh and Irrfan were on a flight to Georgia when the director asked if the actor could do a voice-over for his film. Dinesh felt that Irrfan has a distinct voice and would do a wonderful job as the narrator of the trailer. Irrfan instantly agreed and promised to do it once he was back from Georgia.

Having done films like ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Finding Fanny’ together, Deepika Padukone shares a great bond with ‘Raabta’ producer Homi Adajania and director Dinesh Vijan. So it was no surprise when the actress was roped in for a dance number in the film. The song in question is the reprised version of the popular number ‘Raabta’ from Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’.

The 26-year-old actress will be seen doing some action sequences for ‘Raabta’. Considering the movie revolves around the theme of reincarnation, one of the eras depicted in the film required Kriti to deliver some action-packed scenes. Reportedly, she enjoyed every bit of it. Kriti said, “There is a section in the film that requires action. I always wanted to do it. So I am excited about it. It makes you feel little stronger when you doing and learning it. It is very difficult to do it. I have had lot of cuts and bruises but it was a great experience.”

Interestingly, the ‘Raabta’ trailer includes recreation of the hit melody ‘Raabta...’ from Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Agent Vinod’. Since both the film – ‘Raabta’ and ‘Agent Vinod’ – are produced by Dinesh Vijan, he felt that the romantic ditty could be recreated for Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s romantic drama.

Sushant Singh Raput – Kriti Sanon’s much anticipated romantic flick, 'Raabta', directed by Dinesh Vijan went on floors in Budapest, in March last year. The first schedule of the love story was extensively shot in the Hungarian capital.
