Over the years, the IPL opening ceremonies have become grand entertainment for the audience. From energetic dance performances to live musical acts, several B-Towners have entertained fans and star power to the league and made the tournament’s launch as exciting as the matches themselves.

The IPL 2015 opening ceremony at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata turned into a dazzling celebration with Bollywood’s biggest stars lighting up the stage. Hrithik Roshan left the crowd amazed with his performances on 'Bang Bang', 'Tu Meri', and 'Dhoom Again'.

The IPL opening ceremony in 2016 was at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Mumbai. Celebrities like Ranveer Singh had set the stage on fire with his high-energy dance, on the other hand, 'Murder 2' actress Jacqueline Fernandez added glamour with a mesmerising performance. Singer 'Yo Yo Honey Singh' gave his best with his chart-topping hits.

The IPL 2018 opening ceremony at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium turned into a vibrant celebration with Bollywood stars' best performances. Actor Varun Dhawan performed to songs from 'Judwaa 2'. Legendary dance guru Prabhudheva later had cheered the crowd with his moves with hits like 'Urvashi' and 'Muqabla'.

IPL returned in 2022 with all the glory. The 15th edition closed with a grand ceremony at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A.R. Rahman led the evening with a captivating musical performance. It was joined by Benny Dayal, Mohit Chauhan, and Neeti Mohan, Rahman performed iconic tracks like 'Jai Ho', 'Maa Tujhe Salaam', and 'Dil Se', creating an emotional and memorable experience for the audience.
