In this era of digitalisation, celebrities have made themselves highly accessible to their fans. So while some people love to shower love on their favourite stars, there are also few keyboard warriors who spew negativity only to stir up more drama. Tired of ignoring them and remaining calm, celebrities are now responding to trolls on social media with scathing responses, some of which are simply brilliant. From Sushmita Sen, Samantha Ruth Prabhu to Malaika Arora, here we take a look at celebrities who clapped back at trolls in 2022.

Saba Azad has been ruling the headlines for her rumoured relationship with Hrithik Roshan. The actress had attended Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s wedding reception with Hrithik. Commenting on her style, a netizen wrote, ‘U were looking like cheee, eewww yaak..whatever you understand..Take it.’

Sharing the screenshot of the user’s profile, Saba shared it on her Instagram stories and wrote, ‘This is Shruti apparently she loves her love but she also just follows me to share her abundant hate - there are many like her out there - don't be like Shruti - feel free to unfollow me (smiley emoticon). Incidentally, Shruti hasn't met the block button yet - they shall be well acquainted soon!!’

Sushmita Sen became the eye of the storm in Bollywood this year after Lalit Modi shared pictures with the actress on social media, claiming to be in a relationship with her. While the actress neither confirmed nor denied the claims, she took to her Instagram handle to clap back at a troll who reportedly called her a ‘gold digger’.

In a long post, Sushmita wrote, ‘It's heartbreaking to see just how miserable & unhappy the world around us is becoming.’ The actress also went on to add, ‘I dig deeper than Gold… and I've always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!!’

Malaika Arora, who often gets trolled on social media for her fashion and her relationships, became a topic of discussion because of her ‘weird walk’. Addressing the same on her latest OTT show, ‘Moving In With Malaika’, the actress said, Kuch bhi karo (whatever you do) people talk, I break up, it’s breaking news. I move on, all hell breaks loose. I’m with my partner, I’m trolled. Take a goddamn walk, I’m trolled."

Announcing her new show on Instagram, Malaika wrote, ‘If you thought I was done making news with my moves, you have another thing coming! Age, clothes, love life are all old news, I am bringing something new for all of you to talk about (sic).’

Ever since Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced her separation with husband Naga Chaitanya, the actress has been subjected to ridiculous trolls on social media. Samantha had shared an adorable picture of her fur baby, Sasha on social media. The picture was taken in between her workout sessions. A social media user commented, ‘She's gonna die alone with her cats & dogs.’ Clapping back to the troll, Samantha simply wrote, "I would consider myself lucky (sic).’

R Madhavan is not very active on social media. However, he occasionally treats his fans and followers with his pictures and videos. The actor had shared a picture with Ranveer Singh from a football event they attended in Dubai. In the photo, Madhavan and Ranveer are seen sharing a hug. A twitter user commented on the photo, ‘Now I'm unfollow you (sic)’. Madhavan promptly replied, ‘No need bro. I will do it.’
