Suresh Wadkar talks about Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan: 'SRK knows how to respect others; Salman has a dabang personality'

Veteran singer-composer Suresh Wadkar has opened up about the contrasting personalities of two of Bollywood's biggest superstars – Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. He called SRK a calm, well-mannered individual, while Salman is a true 'dabang' at heart, according to the music veteran.During a candid conversation with The Lallantop, Suresh Wadkar was asked about his experience working with both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and the personality differences he observed between the two.Talk about SRK, he said, "Shah Rukh bohot…kya bolte hai na… ki… dil se bohot shaant banda aur achcha hai. Samne wale ko respect kaise deni chahiye usko aata hai. Ho sakta hai Dilliwala hai, isliye etiquettes bohot achche hai (Shah Rukh is very... how should I put it... he's a very calm and good-hearted person. He knows how to show respect to others. Maybe it's because he's from Delhi, but his etiquette is excellent)."The veteran music artist also revealed a notable piece of trivia that he was Shah Rukh Khan's very first playback singer, having lent his voice for the 1992 film 'Dil Aashna Hai'.Shifting to Salman Khan, he painted a markedly different picture. He said, "Salman kaisa hai… ki dabang hai. Film bhi 'Dabangg' bani thi. Yeh acha laga aadmi toh theek hai nahi toh bohot jyada kisi ko bhaav nahi deta. Bohot jyada mulaqat nahi hoti, magar jab bhi miley hai humlog, bohot pyaar se miley hai (Salman, on the other hand, is quite "dabang" (bold). There was even a film called 'Dabangg'. He's the kind of person who, if he likes someone, everything is great; if not, he doesn't pay much attention to them. We don't meet very often, but whenever we have met, he's always been very warm and affectionate with me)."Salman Khan is currently working on his next film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, co-starring Nayanthara. He is also set for the release of his movie 'Maatrubhumi'. On the other hand, SRK is shooting for his upcoming action adventure 'King'. The movie is set to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
