While she has some big blockbuster films and soem memorable characters to her credit, she has also missed being part of some other projects owing reasons best known to her. From Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey', Kiara Advani's 'Game Changer', 'Sanjay Leela Bhansali's untitled project, here's taking a look at FIVE films rejected by Rashmika Mandanna.

'Master'

Before casting Malavika Mohanan, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had considered Rashmika Mandanna for the role in the blockbuster hit 'Master,' released in January 2021. However, due to her busy schedule, the actress couldn't accommodate the offer.

'Jersey'

Rashmika was offered the official Hindi remake of 'Jersey'. However, the actress felt that she wasn't the right fit for the character, eventually making way for Mrunal Thakur, who starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in the movie. The sports drama received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

Kartik Aaryan's Kirik Party remake

Rashmika Mandanna rose to prominence with her debut in the Kannada film industry through "Kirik Party," which garnered her widespread recognition. The film's Hindi remake, featuring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, was proposed. However, when approached for the project, Mandanna declined, citing her reasons for not participating in the remake.

She articulated that having already portrayed the character and experienced its emotions, revisiting it would lack novelty. Mandanna emphasized her desire to explore fresh narratives and relish the process of embodying new characters.

RC15 - Game Changer

Director Shankar initially approached Rashmika Mandanna to portray the lead role in Ram Charan's RC 15. However, for undisclosed reasons, the collaboration did not materialize. Subsequently, the opportunity was extended to Kiara Advani, who eventually landed the role.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's untitled next

Before directing 'Gangubai Kathiawadi,' Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a project in mind featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Randeep Hooda. While Bhansali approached Mandanna for a role in the film, she couldn't accept the offer due to undisclosed reasons.

According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Rashmika expressed enthusiasm about joining the production under Sanjay Leela Bhansali's direction. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the collaboration didn't materialize. As a result, the filmmakers are now seeking another South Indian actress for the role.
