Ranbir-Alia to Farhan-Shibani: Star couples who ditched their honeymoon plans

If you thought all fairytale celebrity weddings culminate with the lovebirds flying out into the sunset on exotic honeymoons, you thought wrong. While Bollywood stars have often set the benchmark for weddings, when it comes to honeymoon ideas, their plans are often plain vanilla. Call it the latest trend or just work spoiling the fun, but star couples like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar and many others have been postponing if not skipping their honeymoon plans after taking the plunge. Work is playing party pooper for newlyweds Ranbir and Alia. You'd think the superstars earned at least a week's time off the sets after their marriage, but surprisingly, RK was found heading back to business on Sunday, just hours after wrapping up his wedding festivities the night before. Alia too was spotted flying out of the city on Tuesday to an undisclosed location.

Rajkummar Rao tied the knot with long time love Patralekhaa on November 15 in an intimate ceremony. While their wedding photos bowled everyone over, the frenzy fizzled out when the couple headed back to work post the wedding to resume their shoot commitments. According to reports, work beckoned Rao back to the film sets, while Patralekhaa also got busy with her prior commitments.

Farhan and Shibani love setting sail on romantic tropical holidays around the world. However, after their quiet wedding, the couple chose to skip their honeymoon or rather delay it. Farhan's mother, Honey Irani, revealed that the couple didn't plan any romantic getaway as the hunk had a shoot coming up and the unpredictable COVID-19 situation prevented them from getting far from home.

As much as Sheetal Thakur wished hubby Vikrant Massey whisked her off to a dreamy honeymoon after their wedding in Bilaspur, the actor's tight schedule made it impossible. Just 4 days after tying the knot, Vikrant headed to the sets to join his on-screen leading ladies Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda Singh for their film's shoot. Admitting that his wife was upset, he promised to make it up to her and couldn't be any more grateful for her support.

Ankita Lokhande and her prince charming, Vicky Jain pulled out all stops to have their lavish wedding in December. However, 4 months on, and the couple has still not found the time to sneak out on a romantic honeymoon.
