Priyanka Chopra wishes Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu an 'incredible journey'; says 'she's very smart and gorgeous'

Priyanka Chopra is Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu's biggest 'hype woman'.
The former Miss World, who was the first to congratulate the beauty queen on her victory at the Miss Universe pageant, gushed about the star and wished her success for her journey ahead. Speaking to Fox5 Priyanka said, “I was very excited about it. The last time India had a Miss Universe was Lara Dutta in the year 2000.That was the year that I won Miss World as well. She has brought home the crown after 21 years and she is 21, so she was born in the year that I won Miss World.”

Priyanka was crowned Miss World in 2000.

Besides laughing about the observation over their ages, she also said, “I’m so excited for her and I hope this is the beginning of an incredible journey. She’s very smart and gorgeous, obviously, and I’m very excited for her.”
Shortly after Harnaaz's big win, Priyanka congratulated her on social media in a post that read, "And the new Miss Universe is... Miss India. Congratulations @harnaazsandhu_03 (for) bringing the crown home after 21 years."

The admiration is mutual, it seems as a throwback video of Harnaaz showering praise on Priyanka resurfaced online. In the clip, the beauty queen says, “I love Priyanka. So whatever lessons I can learn from her is nevertheless (sic). So I will always choose Priyanka.”

On the professional front, Priyanka hit a new high after her character poster of Sati from 'The Matrix Resurrections' featured at Times Square. The film that stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss in the lead will hit theatres later this month.
