One of the most decorated actors in the history of entertainment, Akshay Kumar turns a year older today. The talented actor, who has spent over two decades in the industry, has always managed to win over the audience with his sheer brilliance in front of the camera.

A recipient of India's fourth-highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, Akshay's versatile performances have even helped him win the National Award for Best Actor. Housefull 4 (Rs 205.60 crore)

Akshay Kumar is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, who has worked in multiple film franchises. From the action-packed 'Khiladi' series to the comedy 'Hera Pheri' franchise, Akshay has always managed to steal the limelight with his enigmatic performance. Not only that but the fourth instalment of the popular 'Housefull' franchise which released in the second half of 2019 turned out to be one of the most successful films in Akshay's career. With a total nett gross collection of Rs 205.60 crore, 'Housefull 4' tops the list of the birthday boy's highest-earning films.

Good Newwz (Rs 196.33 crore)

The birthday boy had set the silver screen ablaze with his stellar performance last year as he teamed up with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in 'Good Newwz'. The film which was based on a sensitive topic like in-vitro fertilisation managed to win over the hearts of the audience and even excelled at the box office as well. With a collection of Rs 196.33 crore, the film turned out to be one of Akshay's most successful films in recent times.

Mission Mangal (Rs 192.67 crore)

Akshay Kumar, who is known for experimenting with his on-screen characters went on to essay the role of an Indian Space Research Organisation scientist in Jagan Shakti's 'Mission Mangal'. The multi-starrer might have received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience but it went on to mint a staggering figure of Rs 192.67 crore at the box office, thus grabbing a spot in Akshay's highest-grossing films.

2.0 (Rs 185.89 crore)

Known for his heroic charm and ability to win over the audience with his acting skills, Akshay went face-to-face with South superstar Rajinikanth in S. Shankar's sci-fi flick '2.0'. Despite playing an antagonist in the film, Akshay managed to shine bright as Pakshi Rajan in the 2018 film. The film went on to earn a stupendous amount of Rs 185.89 crore at the box office and even broke several records as well.

Kesari (Rs 151.87 crore)

Touted as one of Akshay's best, 'Kesari' which was based on the Battle of Saragarhi, is sure to leave you with a feeling of patriotism. The film not only managed to impress the critics and audience but also went on to dominate the box office for several weeks. With a total gross collection of Rs 151.87 crore, the historical action film turned out to be one of the most successful films of 2019.
