This dance show by Shiamak Davar’s dance academy just got funkier when Shiamak himself decided to be the anchor for the evening.
In the middle of every dance performance, he would just emerge from either side of the stage demanding applause and cheer from the audience. “Come on people, you got to make some noise here,” the choreographer insisted excitedly.
1x1 polls
Not to forget his own hootings from backstage on the mike – “Yo! Baby,” and “That’s the way, woohoo.”
All that jazz: The stage was buzzing with oodles of energy, what with the dancers dressed in glittering attire, shaking their booty in style to the tunes of various remixed Bollywood beats and hip hop numbers. And hey, most of his students have filmi dreams in their eyes too!
Mere pass maa hai: It was time for some more fun. Shiamak asked all students to go take a seat and invited their mommies on stage to shake a leg. Surprised by their enthusiasm, he asked one of the ladies, “You’re dancing too well! Where’s your husband?” She replied, “Yahaan par kya koi husband ko le kar aata hai?” Surprised to hear that, he then invited all daddies on stage, saying, “When they dance, aap sab aascharyachaksa ho jaogey!” He realised his Hindi faux pas when the audience couldn’t hold their laughter. “Yeah, I know my Hindi’s too bad,” he grinned. When the daddies came on stage, one of them kissed him on the cheek! And he exclaimed, “Ladies, you didn’t do that to me.”
Role Reversal: Next, the students were in for some more surprise when they saw their own instructors move and shake on the stage; among them Anisha, who had also starred in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. All of them screamed the names of their fave ones while oohing and aahing at their amazing dance moves.
