'Mission: Impossible' to 'James Bond': Popular Hollywood franchises affected by the pandemic

The entire world has come to a standstill due to the outbreak of the pandemic. Not only Bollywood but even Hollywood projects have come to a halt and several films have also been postponed. With theatres being shut down in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, many popular Hollywood franchise have been affected by the pandemic. From James Bond to Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible, here are franchises which are facing the consequences.

James Bond

The upcoming instalment of the popular James Bond franchise which is titled as 'No Time to Die' was slated to release in April but the makers of the film have pushed the release by seven months due to the outbreak of the global pandemic. The film which marks Daniel Craig's last outing as Bond 007 is expected to release in November this year. The long running franchise has been successful in entertaining the audience for many years and this instalment has already got the audience excited.

The Fast and the Furious

The street racing franchise which revolves around importance of family is one of the most popular franchise in the history of Hollywood. The makers of the film are all set to entertain the audience with the ninth instalment which is titled as 'F9' (Fast and Furious 9). But just like all other films, this franchise has also been affected by the pandemic as the film which was set to released on 22nd May has been postponed to 2nd April next year.

Mission Impossible

Tom Cruise, who stepped into the shoes of Ethan Hunt for the first time in 1996 has taken his character to the next level by doing unbelievable stunts in the popular franchise. The talented actor, who was busy shooting for the seventh instalment of the popular franchise was halted due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. According to reports, the makers have planned two more instalments with the seventh film aimed at being released on 23rd July next year, while the eighth installment will be released on 5th August 2022.

Jurassic Park

The next instalment of the popular dinosaur franchise 'Jurassic World: Dominion' which was under production was halted as well due to the pandemic. While the makers had aimed to release the film on 11th June 2021 may even postpone the release due to the change in the filming dates. 'Jurassic World: Dominion' is the sixth film in the Jurassic film franchise which had began in 1993 and the upcoming instalment has been the talk of the town since it's announcement.
