COLUMBUS? URIBBAS!: When the trainer introduced me to the lion saying, "Meet Columbus", my reaction was, "Uribbas!". I don't think I have ever been or will ever again be as afraid of anything as I was of Columbus. The shot with Columbus was the deadliest ever. Even Columbus wasn't fond of me. Whenever he would see me, he would ruffle his mane and roar. I think, he didn't like the fact that he had to let go of me after a chase sequence. While shooting, Kamaleswarda (Mukherjee) would tell me, "Think of him as your co-actor!" Co-actor? More like co-death, I would mutter under my breath.

ELEPHANT SAFARI TURNS SCARY: I had seen elephants in Gorumara forest, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine one of them chasing me! So when Susru, the elephant in the film, started chasing me for a sequence, I thought that was the end of me. Susru, I guess, had a bone to pick with me. Why else would he be so irritated all the time? He would make terrifying noises on seeing me. My director would tell me, "Try being friends with him." Friends? Really? How can you be 'friends' with such a gigantic animal? During the chase sequence, I was scared out of my wits. I mean, imagine, if it had caught me! Deadbody ta Dev-er na Devi-r, tao aar bojha jeto na....

COMPUTER GRAPHICS MADE AFRICA COME ALIVE: Chander Pahar, the biggest budget film in Tollywood, which boasts of some daredevil stunts, animal chase and shoot in virgin locations, has 20% Computer Graphics (CG) in it. Creating 1909 was no mean feat, but the biggest challenge for the team was to give shape to Bunyip, the Rhodesian Monster guarding the precious yellow diamonds. A fictional character, Shankar will be seen locking horns with the monster towards the climax. All movements of Bunyip are completely computer generated. The volcanic eruption, fireballs coming towards Shankar et al are also created by CG.
