Celebs and their favourite spicy street foods

In an industry where fitness is highly prioritized, it might come as a shock to many that even our beloved celebrities can't resist the allure of street food. You may envision them strictly adhering to their diet plans, but the reality is far more relatable. Stars have their moments of weakness when the tantalizing flavors of phuchka, jhaal muri, singara, hot kathi rolls, chow mein, and mughlai paratha become too irresistible to pass up. The rich, savory, and sometimes spicy tastes of these popular street foods offer a culinary experience that even the health-conscious celebs find difficult to resist. Taking a break from their stringent diets, they are more than willing to indulge in these delectable treats, demonstrating that when it comes to food, they are just like the rest of us. So, let's take an in-depth look into the gastronomic preferences of these celebrities who occasionally ditch their rigorous dietary regimens for the sake of some mouthwatering indulgence.

2/7

Nusrat Jahan

According to Nussrat, puchkas are definitely the best of Kolkata street food. The typical flavor of Kolkata puchkas is what makes them different from gol gappa or pani puri. She’s also a big fan of churmur. A mix of crushed puchka, mixed with mashed potatoes, onions, spices, and of course tetul gola – is just heavenly. She’s a fitness freak and one look at her Instagram timeline tells it all. Still, Nussrat can’t live without tasting the spicy jhaal muri or ghugni.

3/7

Nusraat Faria

Nusraat says if you're in Kolkata, your Kolkata Street Food experience will be incomplete if you don't try Kochuri! Like many other Tollywood celebs she’s also a big fan of spicy phuchkas and her cheat day street food menu often includes phuchka. Nusraat also loves the tangy ghoti groom – an awesome union of chanachur, lemon juice and onion.

4/7

Mimi Chakraborty

Like any other Bengali food junkie, Mimi just loves the easy and quick munchy Jhalmuri and the best part is it’s an appetizing street food that can be found in every nook of the city. On her cheat days, the actor also prefers singara or chop with muri. Another spicy street food she loves is the Aloo Kabli. Boiled potatoes are tossed with tamarind pulp, onions, tomatoes, chilies, chickpeas, and a magical combination of masalas to create one of the best street foods you would find in the City of Joy.

5/7

Jaya Ahsan

“I found the phuchka quite heavenly, it's so different from what we find elsewhere,” Jaya Ahsan once shared while speaking about her favourite street food in Kolkata. Despite being a fitness enthusiast she would also recommend Kathi Rolls and the very famous jhaal muri. Interestingly, the first thing she had in Kolkata as a child was sugarcane juice.

6/7

Paoli Dam

Telebhaja is Paoli’s favorite companion on a rainy day. Another street food on her must-have list is kochuri with aloo sabji. She loves to enjoy the scrumptious taste of the heavenly combination of mashed potatoes and Bengali spices.

7/7

Ishaa Saha

Ishaa is a big fan of phuchka – often called the king of street foods in Kolkata. Among other Kolkata street food, the papri chat, phuchkas and dahi phuchkas here are to die for! On a good day, you might be able to spot Ishaa lined up on a South Kolkata street for these tangy mouthfuls of heaven.
