CBSE second board exam result date 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10 second board examination results soon. While the board has not yet confirmed an official date, the results are likely to be declared in the second week of June based on the evaluation schedule followed by CBSE.
Once released, students will be able to check their scores through the official websites, cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in, using their login credentials.
The second board examinations were conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026.
The 2026 academic session marked the introduction of CBSE's new two-exam format for Class 10 students.
Under this system, the first board examination held in February is compulsory for all students. The second examination phase is optional and gives students another opportunity to improve their scores or clear subjects in which they were unable to pass earlier.
Students are allowed to appear for a maximum of three subjects in the second examination cycle. CBSE has also permitted candidates to retain the better score obtained across the two attempts.
The new format has been introduced to reduce exam-related stress and provide greater flexibility in the assessment process.
The second examination cycle witnessed significant participation from students across the country.
According to board data, nearly 6.7 lakh applications were received for the examinations. More than 5.25 lakh students registered to improve their marks, while over 85,000 candidates applied under the compartment category. Several students also appeared under both categories.
The examination schedule covered a wide range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Social Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Home Science, regional languages and vocational courses.
After the result is announced, students can follow these steps:
Apart from the official websites, CBSE is expected to make digital marksheets available through DigiLocker.
The board may also activate SMS-based result services to help students access their scores in case of heavy traffic on the official portals after the declaration of results.
Students are advised to keep their admit cards ready so that they can access their results without any delay once the link becomes active.

How to check CBSE Class 10 second board result 2026
- Visit the official CBSE result website.
- Click on the Class 10 second board examination result link.
- Enter the required details, including roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth.
- Submit the information.
- The provisional marksheet will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save it for future reference.
Results likely to be available through DigiLocker
