UP PGT Result 2026 declared: 2,253 candidates qualify for interview round- here's how to check your marks
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the results of the UP Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) written examination 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the subject-wise result on the commission's official website, upessc.up.gov.in
The written examination was conducted on May 9 and 10, 2026, for recruitment to 624 lecturer posts in various subjects. The commission released the result on June 2 in PDF format.
According to UPESSC, a total of 2,253 candidates have provisionally qualified for the interview round. The result has been released subject-wise for both male and female candidates.
The recruitment examination covered 18 subjects, including Physics, Civics, Biology, Mathematics, Home Science, Economics, History, Sanskrit, Education, Psychology, English, Chemistry, Agriculture, Geography, Commerce, Art, Sociology and Hindi.
A total of 1,92,934 candidates appeared for the examination conducted for the lecturer cadre posts. After the evaluation process, the commission shortlisted 2,253 candidates for the next stage of selection.
UPESSC said details regarding subject-wise and category-wise interview schedules will be published on its website on June 3, 2026. The commission will also issue guidelines for candidates who have qualified in the written examination.
Candidates selected for the interview stage will receive notifications through the email IDs and mobile numbers registered during the application process. Interview call letters will be available for download 10 days before the scheduled interview date.
The commission has advised candidates to regularly check the official website for updates related to interview dates and further recruitment procedures.

- Open the subject-wise PDF result
- Search for your roll number or details in the list
