IB ACIO Final Result 2025 declared: Check selected candidates list and next steps
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the final result for the ACIO-II/Executive Examination 2025. Candidates who appeared in the recruitment process can now check whether they have been selected by accessing the result PDF released on the official website.
The announcement brings to an end a multi-stage recruitment process that began last year and included written examinations as well as interviews. Candidates who have cleared all stages and met the required criteria have been shortlisted for appointment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive.
The final result has been prepared on the basis of candidates' combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III examinations. The Tier-I computer-based test was conducted from September 16 to 18, 2025, followed by the Tier-II descriptive examination on January 11, 2026.
Candidates who qualified in these stages were called for the Tier-III interview round, which was conducted between April 1 and April 30, 2026. The final selection list has been prepared after considering performance across all stages.
The Intelligence Bureau has released the roll numbers of selected candidates in the final result PDF. The bureau clarified that the roll numbers have been listed in ascending order and not according to merit rank.
It also stated that candidates from EWS, OBC, SC and ST categories whose roll numbers appear under the Unreserved category have qualified on unreserved standards.
Some candidates in the result list have been marked with the letter "P". According to the Intelligence Bureau, these candidates have been placed under provisional status due to the non-submission of required information or documents during document verification or the interview process.
Their candidature will remain subject to the submission and verification of the pending documents.
The bureau has clarified that qualifying in Tier-I, Tier-II and the interview does not automatically guarantee appointment. Final selection remains subject to satisfactory completion of character and antecedent verification, medical examination and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions related to age, educational qualifications and category.
Candidates can follow these steps to check the final result:
