Wild bear spotted on Tirumala ghat road, sparks panic
The bear looked around for food in dustbins around the Vinayaka Swamy temple before it jumped back into the Seshachalam forests
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has sounded an alert after a wild bear was spotted on the ghat road leading to Tirumala on Saturday night.According to the TTD’s vigilance and security dept, the bear was spotted moving aggressively around the Vinayaka Swamy temple on the second ghat road. CCTV footage showed it rummaging through dustbins for food before jumping back into the Seshachalam forests.TTD authorities have cautioned devotees to be careful while moving around the Vinayaka Swamy temple. Motorists have also been advised not to stop in the temple’s vicinity. Meanwhile, TTD vigilance and security officials have intensified patrolling in the area as a precautionary measure.
