Tirupati: Three people were killed in a
road accident near Adoni in Kurnool district in the late hours on Friday. According to the local police, two youngsters identified as Mahendra and Veeresh, residents of Ganekal village, rammed their bike at very high speed into an autorickshaw near Pandavagallu village on Friday night.
The impact of the accident was so severe that Mahendra and Veeresh succumbed to injuries before they could be shifted to the hospital. A middle-aged man identified as Vishwanath, a resident of Kowthalam village, who travelled in the autorickshaw at the time of the accident and sustained injuries, was immediately rushed to the govt hospital at Adoni. However, Vishwanath also died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Adoni police registered a case and shifted the bodies of the deceased for postmortem. Preliminary police investigation revealed that rash and negligent driving by the youngsters was the cause of the tragic road mishap.
